Kaioke is one of the articles used in the classical shell game of Kaiawase which has been handed down since the Heian period. The shape of two pairs of shells has the meaning of marital harmony and is an auspicious pattern. This gorgeous Kyoto Yuzen sari is exquisite to also display as an interior decoration.
